I am an Illustrator/Designer. Since 1991 I’ve also been teaching in the Illustration department at Parsons School of Design. I can’t think of anything visual , (either high or low brow) that I wouldn’t look at and try and find some merit in. Cubism, WPA art, printmaking, muralists of the 20’s, 30’s and 40’s, are all significant sources of inspiration for me both as an illustrator and designer. Growing up, reading comic books was one of my first exposures to art as a profession and motivated me to start drawing and consider being an illustrator.
This blog is a place to share all those eclectic things that cross my path and influence me to create, as well as sharing some news and info.
